Are you tired of ineffective hair loss treatments that promise the world but fail to deliver results? You're not alone. Millions of people worldwide suffer from hair loss, and many have been searching for a solution that offers natural-looking results without the hassle and expense of other treatments. Look no further, as Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) – the number one hair loss solution – is here to revolutionize the way we deal with hair loss.
In this blog post, we will explore the ins and outs of Scalp Micropigmentation, its benefits, and why it has earned the top spot in hair loss solutions. Read on to learn how SMP can help you regain your confidence and transform your appearance after just one session.
Scalp Micropigmentation, also known as SMP, is a non-surgical, semi-permanent cosmetic procedure that uses specialized equipment to deposit pigment into the scalp. This innovative technique creates the appearance of tiny hair follicles or short hair stubble, giving the illusion of a fuller head of hair.
SMP can be used to address various types of hair loss, including male and female pattern baldness, alopecia, and thinning hair. It can also be used to camouflage scars from hair transplant surgeries or injuries.
With so many hair loss treatments available, you may wonder: what makes SMP stand out from the rest? Here are some key reasons why Scalp Micropigmentation has become the go-to solution for hair loss:
The primary reason people choose SMP over other treatments is the incredibly natural appearance it provides. Skilled SMP practitioners can create hair follicles that mimic your natural hair color, size, and density, ensuring a seamless blend with your existing hair. This level of customization guarantees a realistic result that is virtually undetectable.
While other hair loss treatments may require months or even years to show results, SMP offers a noticeable transformation after just one session. This means you can walk out of your first appointment with a renewed sense of confidence and an improved appearance.
In comparison to other hair restoration methods like hair transplants, SMP is a more affordable option. Additionally, since SMP is a semi-permanent solution, it requires minimal maintenance, saving you time and money in the long run.
SMP is a non-invasive procedure with little to no downtime. Most clients can return to their daily activities immediately after treatment, making it a convenient option for those with busy lifestyles.
When performed by a skilled and certified practitioner, SMP is a safe and reliable treatment with minimal risks. In the rare case of any side effects, they are usually mild and temporary, such as redness or slight swelling around the treatment area.
Now that you understand the benefits of Scalp Micropigmentation let's discuss what you can expect during your treatment:
Before your treatment, you will have a consultation with your SMP practitioner. During this session, they will assess your hair loss, discuss your desired outcome, and create a customized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.
The SMP process typically requires multiple sessions, usually 2-3, spaced a few weeks apart. Each session lasts around 2-4 hours, depending on the size of the treatment area and the complexity of the procedure. Your practitioner will use a specialized microneedle to carefully deposit pigment into your scalp, creating the appearance of hair follicles.
Following your SMP treatment, it's essential to follow your practitioner's aftercare instructions to ensure the best possible results. This may include avoiding direct sunlight and excessive sweating for a few days and keeping the treatment area clean and moisturized.
Hair loss can significantly impact one's self-esteem, but it doesn't have to be a lifelong struggle. Scalp Micropigmentation offers a safe, effective, and natural-looking solution that can restore your confidence and help you feel like the best version of yourself. If you're ready to take the first step towards a fuller, more youthful appearance, consider SMP as your go-to hair loss solution. Call 844-472-2577 to schedule your free consultation.

]]>If this is something you yourself have experienced, you're far from alone. Did you know that 50% of all males experience hair loss by the age of 50? It's a common problem but it's still one that causes embarrassment and self-confidence issues in many men.
Luckily, today there are many solutions to this problem. Today we're going to be looking at two—a hair piece and scalp micropigmentation—to see which is the easier to maintain of the two. If you're interested to learn, read on now.
You're probably already familiar with the concept of a hair piece. You might even be wearing one right now. But for those who haven't worn one before here's a simple rundown.
A hair piece (also known as a toupee) is a piece of hair worn to cover up baldness. It can be made from real or synthetic hair. It's similar in nature to a wig except it only covers a part of the head—most often the top.
Hair pieces are often stuck on with some sort of adhesive. They can easily be pulled on or off.
Scalp micropigmentation treatment is a relatively new concept. It's been around since the early 2000s and it's a hair restoration method that has skyrocketed in popularity since it first came on the scene.
It's a form of permanent cosmetic treatment that you can think of as a scalp tattoo. During the procedure, tiny dots will be tattooed into the scalp, creating the effect of a shaved but full head of hair. It's great for correcting hairlines that have receded over time.
Both of these hair options have their own advantages. So let's take a look at which one might be a better fit for you in terms of quality and maintenance required.
One of the great things about scalp micropigmentation is that it's a permanent solution. Once you get it done you never need to worry about it again. No maintenance or upkeep necessary.
When it's done by a skilled professional it's also a natural-looking option. Especially compared to some hair piece options you might have seen.
If you've got long hair that you're super attached to, then a hair piece might be a better option for you. However, hairpieces do present some problems of their own.
You need to put them on each day and take them off each night. They need to be stored and cared for properly to avoid damage.
You'll need to wash your hairpiece on a regular basis as well. Even with all this, after enough wear and tear, they do need to be replaced eventually.
If you're unhappy with your hair or hair piece don't worry, there are plenty of options available, and scalp micropigmentation could be a great fit for you. SMP works on a number of different types of hair and it's a safe and permanent solution.
If you're considering having scalp micropigmentation done then we'd be happy to answer any questions you might have. Give us a call today to schedule a consultation.
]]>What is Scalp Micropigmentation?
Scalp micropigmentation is a kind of cosmetic tattooing that can help to give the appearance of a fuller head of hair. It is becoming an increasingly popular choice for those seeking a long-term solution to hair loss, as it offers many benefits over alternatives such as hair transplants and hairpieces.
Here are some of the key benefits of scalp micropigmentation:
1. Scalp micropigmentation is a non invasive procedure no down time. In most cases, patients can return to normal activities within the same day.
2. There is no need for ongoing maintenance, unlike with hairpieces or other temporary solutions scalp micropigmentation requires no daily upkeep. Once the pigment has been implanted, it will remain in place for many years.
3. Scalp micropigmentation can be an excellent solution for those with hair loss due to medical conditions such as alopecia or chemotherapy.
4. The results of scalp micropigmentation are natural-looking and realistic. When done by a skilled technician, it is difficult to tell that the person has had any work done.
5. Scalp micropigmentation is a relatively affordable hair loss solution when compared to hair transplants or other surgical procedures.
What to Look for in a Technician
When entrusting someone with your appearance, it's important to do your research and choose a skilled and experienced technician. Here are some qualities to look for in a qualified technician:
1. Artistic talent: because every head is different, it takes an artist's eye to create a natural-looking result. Be sure to view before-and-after photos of a technician's previous clients to get an idea of their style and level of skill.
2. Experience: ask how long the technician has been performing scalp micropigmentations and how many clients they have treated. A qualified technician will have plenty of experience under their belt.
3. Attention to detail: good technicians will take care to measure and map out the area being treated before beginning the procedure. This helps ensure that the results are symmetrical and evenly distributed across the entire area being treated.
If you are considering a hair loss solution, scalp micropigmentation should definitely be at the top of your list of options. Its a safe, effective, and long-lasting treatment that can give you the confidence of a fuller head of hair.

It might surprise you to learn that nearly all men experience a receding hairline, thinning hairline, or some form of hair loss by the age of 50. To make matters worse, many hair loss treatments are invasive (such as hair transplants). The good news is that it's possible to get a hairline tattoo to help overcome this condition.
Although hairline tattooing (also known as scalp micro-pigmentation) might be unfamiliar to many people, it's a relatively common option that can have great results. Let's take a look at everything you need to know about it.
In short, it's a cosmetic tattoo that's used to create the appearance of a fuller, thicker hairline. The tattoo is applied using a specialized tool that deposits pigment into the skin. This pigment will then mimic the look of real hair follicles, creating a natural-looking hairline.
One of the great things about a hairline tattoo is that it can be customized to each individual.
The pigment can be matched to your natural hair color, and the tattoo artist can create any density or thickness that you desire. This means that whether you're looking to cover up a small patch of hair loss or you want a completely new hairline, it's possible to do so.
When it comes to getting a hairline tattoo, it's important that you find a reputable and experienced professional. This type of tattoo is delicate work, so you'll want to make sure that the artist you choose is someone who has plenty of experience in doing this type of tattooing.
It's also a good idea to look for someone who uses a digital machine. These machines are much more precise than traditional tattoo machines, which can result in a cleaner and more realistic-looking tattoo.
The good news is that the healing process for a hairline tattoo is relatively short and easy.
You can expect the tattoo to heal within two weeks. During this time, it's important to keep the area clean and dry. You should also avoid picking or scratching at the tattoo, as this can cause it to become irritated or infected.
After the tattoo has healed, you can expect it to last for several years. However, it's possible that the tattoo will fade over time. This is especially true if you expose it to sunlight on a regular basis. If you do notice the tattoo starting to fade, you can always go back and get it retouched.
Although it might seem complicated at first, a hairline tattoo can be a premier option when it comes to managing male pattern baldness. Be sure that you keep the above guidelines in mind so that you can make the decision that's best for you in the future.

]]>For those who are seeking an effective, affordable solution to hair loss, scalp micropigmentation is an ideal option. Micropigmentation of the scalp is less invasive and more cost-effective than hair transplant surgeries.
Millions of people around the world suffer from hair loss or alopecia. Micropigmentation is one of the most common treatments for this condition. Our goal in this article is to demonstrate the varying advantages of scalp micropigmentation and the results that people can achieve.
In scalp micropigmentation, pigment is deposited into the scalp utilizing microneedles. With this hair loss treatment, one can achieve a fuller, thicker look with tiny hair follicles appearing in the hair. One out of every five people in the U.S. is bald; studies show that male pattern baldness, thinning hair, and alopecia are the most common types of baldness.
Scalp micro-pigmentation - also known as SMP - is the most advanced and most modern form of hair replacement. It uses a unique method of micropigmentation, which is specifically designed to create the most natural-looking results. Apart from that, there are other significant benefits of scalp micro-pigmentation.
Hair loss solutions and treatments like transplants require follow-up appointments every 4-6 months to keep the hair follicles healthy. Scalp micropigmentation, on the other hand, can last up to three years without needing to be inspected, and little maintenance is required. Only then, when the pigment fades, is it necessary to apply restorative pigmentation to the treated scalp.
Micropigmentation of the scalp is relatively inexpensive since no surgery or surgical equipment is involved. Micropigmentation of the scalp requires fewer practitioners. The cost of this treatment is much lower than that of a hair transplant, which requires additional medications and scalp care products afterward. A follow-up is necessary only when the pigment washes off prematurely after scalp pigmentation.
Most people shy away from hair loss treatment due to fear of chemicals, surgical procedures, and the possibility of side effects. Chemicals are not used in scalp micropigmentation.
Pigmentation only requires an electric tattoo needle and mild anesthesia, minimizing pain and preventing infection. Neither cutting nor surgical instruments are needed in the micropigmentation process.
In the hands of a certified professional, scalp pigmentation hair loss treatment can create an impression of natural hair-delivering near-perfect replication of hair texture, color, and skin tone for a closely cropped appearance. It acts as a density enhancer in thinning areas of the scalp, where hair growth is stunted, and to receding hairlines. In addition to filling in imperfection on the scalp, scalp micropigmentation also conceals scarring from surgical incisions, such as scarring after a hair transplant.
With SMP, one can create the appearance of a freshly shaved head without invasive methods. SMP is the easiest and most affordable option for people who have already had hair transplants and just want to cover their scars.
]]>Think about the last time you bathed. Did you find a lot of hair on your shower floor? Do you see thinning roots and a visible scalp when you look in the mirror?
You're not alone! More than 50% of women and 80% of men experience significant hair loss. But did you know that a dry scalp can be the secret culprit of hair loss?
Read on to learn about the causes of hair loss, as well as a few prevention tips!
Many people believe genetics to be the only cause of hair loss, but that's not the whole truth. Hair loss can occur for many reasons.
Thinning hair is part of the natural aging process. Hair follicles slow production and hair growth ceases as we get older. It's vital to start hair loss treatments early to slow the loss.
Many health issues can result in permanent or temporary hair loss. Alopecia areata, a condition where the immune system attacks hair follicles, is common. But hormone imbalances, thyroid problems, and scalp infections can also lead to loss.
Stress can cause temporary hair loss that usually reverses within six to nine months. Stressful events can push hair follicles into a resting phase, delaying hair growth. Keep in mind that it's temporary, and take care of your hair in the meantime!
We're often our hair's worst enemies. Heat, chemicals, over-styling, and tight hairstyles do more damage than we realize. In this case, you'll often notice breakage along with thinning hair. Improving hair health will result from a more gentle routine!
Research shows that a healthy scalp leads to more productive hair follicles. Oxidative stress is tied to dryness and affects hair before it even emerges from the scalp. This process also occurs in some of the above-mentioned causes, like aging and chronic illness.
There are many reasons you might experience a dry scalp, including:
If you have a dry scalp, that means something isn't quite right. Look for signs of dryness like itching, dandruff, and irritation.
Lifestyle changes like improving diet and reducing stress should be your first steps. Then look into some of these solutions for preventing hair loss.
Head to your local pharmacy and pick up a bottle of medicated shampoo. Find products that contain zinc, coal tar, or tea tree oil. These ingredients will help both a dry scalp and the hair loss that follows!
While this is not for everyone, hair transplants are a somewhat traditional solution. Keep in mind that it is an invasive surgery that requires recovery time and comes with a hefty price tag.
Scalp micropigmentation is a method of creating fuller-looking hair without surgery or medicine. The process is similar to semi-permanent makeup.
Color is applied to the scalp in a simulated pattern to look like hair follicles. The effect gradually fades over two to three years. But the results are natural, and the process is suitable for most skin and hair types!
Suffering through hair loss can be frustrating and lonely. But once you realize that a healthy scalp is the start of healthy hair, the process becomes more bearable.

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a non-invasive treatment that can help people who suffer from alopecia. SMP hair solutions use natural pigments to create the appearance of hair on your scalp, which makes alopecia a lot less noticeable.
Nearly 2% of the population will experience alopecia during their lifetime.
If you’re suffering from alopecia, this article will give you all the information you need to know about how SMP works and whether it’s right for you.
Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a safe and effective cosmetic tattooing method used to restore the appearance of hair for people who suffer from alopecia symptoms.
This procedure involves depositing pigment into the scalp to create the appearance of hair follicles. Scalp micropigmentation helps to conceal bald patches and alopecia scars.
Scalp micropigmentation is for anyone affected by alopecia. Alopecia is a condition that causes hair loss and results in bald patches. There are several alopecia types, and each type can cause different symptoms.
The two main types of alopecia:
Androgenetic alopecia is the most common type of alopecia, and it affects both men and women.
Hair loss from alopecia areata usually affects just one area of the head, creating a patchy appearance. It can cause hair to fall out in small round patches anywhere on the scalp.
Scalp micropigmentation helps to restore your hair and conceal your alopecia symptoms. The procedure helps to:
A licensed SMP technician will use a handheld device to deposit medical-grade pigments into the scalp.
The pigment is custom matched to blend in with your hair and is applied in a series of tiny dots to mimic natural hair follicles for a fuller, realistic look.
The process takes around 2-4 hours, depending on the number of areas being treated, and it can take 2-4 sessions to achieve the results you want.
Scalp micropigmentation is a long-lasting, permanent makeup solution for people who suffer from alopecia or other hair loss conditions. The results can last 3 - 6 years or longer but may fade over time and require a touch-up.
To help ensure that your scalp micropigmentation lasts as long as possible, avoid excessive sun exposure and wear sunscreen when outdoors.
If you’re suffering from alopecia, we highly recommend that you schedule a consultation with one of our scalp micropigmentation experts.
SMP hair solutions can help conceal bald patches and alopecia scars, giving you back your confidence and self-esteem.

]]>It may happen in your 20s or 40s, but when male pattern baldness strikes, it will unsettle you and shake your confidence. Below, we explore the basics you need to know about this type of hair loss in men and what you can do to fix the problem.
Male pattern baldness is more common than you'd think; about 50 million American men have this hereditary condition.
Thinning hair is part and parcel of aging. But depending on your genes, you might start to notice a receding hairline or a changing crown earlier than your peers, or your hair loss might look a bit more dramatic.
The Hamilton-Norwood scale will give you a good idea of how severe your male pattern baldness is.
About 5% of male hair loss is due to side effects from medication or a medical issue, so visit your GP if you're shedding hair and it doesn't feel quite natural.
Lowering your stress levels can help, but ultimately there's not much you can do to halt the process of shrinking hair follicles and prevent male pattern baldness. You either have to get a wig or weave, own the sexy bald guy look like The Rock, break the bank for an expensive hair transplant surgery, or take one of the following routes:
There are two main FDA-approved products to treat hair loss. You can apply minoxidil foam or lotion to your scalp. It stimulates hair follicles but may take six months or more to produce results, and when you stop putting it on your head, your hair growth stops. Side effects may include a rash.
Finasteride is an oral medication that can slow your hair loss, but it too can have a host of adverse side effects like depression or low libido.
SMP is essentially a shallow tattoo because it implants a safe pigment into your scalp giving you the shaded effect of shaven hair. Tiny dots of color match your skin color, so this type of hair restoration is perfect for any ethnicity. In addition, you can get the procedure done no matter what your age is.
SMP also works well on women as it can fill in gaps on your scalp and make your hair look fuller. And it's an option for folks with cancer or alopecia too.
The technician's expertise is the main factor you want to look for when considering scalp micropigmentation. At Precise Micro Scalps, we have a long list of happy clients and all the credentials you need to ensure a safe and successful hair transformation. Get in touch for more information about our game-changing services.
]]>Every day, we shed between 50 and 100 hairs.
If you shed significantly more than that, you may have hair loss. Individuals affected by hair loss often experience self-consciousness around their hair. That may lead them to consider hair loss solutions like transplants and other invasive procedures to restore their hair.
While many people who try hair transplant procedures experience re-growth, just as many are left with a noticeable scar on their heads. The good news is, there's a scar camouflage treatment that can help cover up that scar.
Keep reading to learn more about scalp micropigmentation and how it works as a form of scar tattooing.
Scalp micropigmentation is also called SMP. It's a relatively non-invasive hair loss solution for men and women.
In an SMP procedure, small needles are used to place pigment into the epidermis on the scalp, somewhat similar to the process of tattooing. These dots of pigment are permanent in nature although there are procedures for removing the pigmentation.
From as little as six inches away, the dots look exactly like hair follicles. The purpose is to create the appearance of a recently shaved head, though it can also be used as scar camouflage.
When individuals have hair loss or thinning hair, they may try surgical procedures like hair transplants. The two most common types of hair transplant procedures are strip excision harvesting and follicular unit extraction.
In both of these methods, hair follicles are removed from a place on the scalp where hair is still growing onto a part of the scalp that is bald or thinning. And, in both of these methods, the potential for noticeable scarring is very high. Indeed, minor to severe scarring is a known risk and a completely normal consequence of hair transplants.
Although scarring is normal, it's not well received by most individuals. Scarring can take away from the natural look that a hair transplant intends to convey. Fortunately, SMP works as a sort of scar camouflage.
SMP injects pigment to the areas above, below, and to either side of the scar. Most professionals use a precise system to help them create a natural look as well as match the pigment perfectly to skin tone for a flawless finish. This allows the scar to blend in naturally with your hair growth and pattern.
Scars are a lot thicker than the skin on your scalp. That's because they're made up of thick layers of tissue.
As such, individuals undergoing SMP as a scar camouflage procedure generally need a few sessions. In most cases, you'll need between 2 and 5 treatments, which last about 1 to 4 hours each. This ensures that the pigment is at the right depth to create a natural-looking aeshtetic.
If you're looking for hair loss solutions, SMP is a great non-invasive option for creating the look of a recently shaved head. But if you've already undergone a hair transplant and you're just looking for scar camouflage, SMP is among the most affordable and simple solutions. By injecting pigment in and around the scar over the course of a few treatments, your scar will slowly blend into your hair re-growth.
If you're ready to get rid of that scar and complete the look of a natural hairline, contact us today for a consultation.
]]>Did you know that the most common form of hair loss is androgenetic alopecia (male pattern baldness)? This is a genetic condition that can occur at any age.
In most cases, hair loss is not a fault of your own. When it does happen, there are hair loss treatments that can help, one being scalp micropigmentation.
Before opting for this treatment, find the best SMP artist for the job. With the right questions, you can make an informed decision. Read on to learn some of the most common questions to ask an artist.
If you are looking for an SMP artist, you probably already know what scalp micropigmentation is. However, this question is still important to ask because you could learn details that you weren't aware of before.
In short, scalp micropigmentation is an effective hair loss solution for those with a hairline recession, thinning hair, alopecia, pattern baldness, and hair transplant scarring.
This non-invasive treatment uses micro-needles to place pigment onto the scalp. The result is the appearance of tiny hair follicles that can restore the look of a fuller head of hair.
The answer you receive from an SMP artist can help you understand how much they really know about the procedure.
Instead of choosing a random scalp micropigmentation artist, it is essential to ensure they have the proper qualifications. SMP is a procedure that needs to be handled by a professional.
During a scalp micropigmentation consultation, an SMP expert will be happy to tell you their credentials. In general, you'll need to know whether the artist has SMP training and experience.
You can ask specifics like where they attended school and how many procedures they have successfully done so far.
If they have a list of referrals, don't be afraid to contact those customers to see what they have to say about the process. If previous clients are happy with the work, you should be too.
The benefits of scalp micropigmentation include that it is a solution for multiple hair loss diseases. However, if the hair restoration expert you are consulting with offers other treatments for hair loss, ask them about the differences.
Most people prefer SMP because it is a non-invasive procedure with little downtime. This means you can return to your daily routine after the procedure is complete.
Compared to other hair treatments, the procedure takes little time. When you ask this question, you can get a more specific answer on how SMP is the better option for your situation.
Scalp micropigmentation is not a one-and-done treatment process. Most clients complete treatment after 2-4 sessions depending on the extent of hair loss. The treatments are spaced out anywhere between 10 and 20 days.
Each session will take around 2-4 hours to complete.
Another one of the questions about scalp micropigmentation that you should ask is how long the results will last. This semi-permanent procedure can last up to five years, much longer than other hair loss solutions.
If you don't like how your procedure turned out, there is actually a way to remove the results. Few people who turn to this procedure take the additional step to remove it.
Once the results begin to fade, you can opt for a top-up session to freshen the look. This one-off procedure can take anywhere from one to two hours.
It is important to know that the amount of time the results will last will depend on how well you adhere to the aftercare routine. Following the directions of your artist is a sure way to delay the need for top-ups.
A scalp micropigmentation artist that uses the best products is one you'll want to work with. Ask how the quality of the pigment and equipment they use so you know that you will come out of the procedure with the desired results.
The short answer is no, pigmentation does not change colors like tattoos. This is because scalp micropigmentation is a form of permanent cosmetics designed to match the color spectrum of short-cut hair.
The pigment does not have additional colorants or additives. If anything, the pigment will lighten over time, but not change colors.
The answer to this question will depend on the individual and their pain tolerance. For most clients, there is minimal pain. In fact, most people consider it to be less painful than a traditional tattoo.
Once the procedure is complete, there is no further discomfort after you've healed.
Those who are passionate about their work aren't shy about offering a guarantee to ensure their results. A guarantee usually lasts for 12 months or more, but the time will depend on your artist.
They might also offer a free treatment on an area of the scalp that needs extra attention after you've been fully treated.
Pigment professionals can work with your busy schedule in hopes that you will opt for their treatment plan. During a consultation, ask when they are available for services.
It is best for those with a full-time job to inquire about treatments in the evening and on the weekends. If these times are available, you don't have to worry about taking off work for the treatment.
What happens if you schedule an appointment and something comes up? It is important to ask this question too because some artists might be strict about schedule changes.
If you provide an early enough notice for a schedule change, an artist might not have a problem with it.
A great SMP artist will ensure that a client's hairline matches their facial features, age, and personal preferences. This is an important part of the consultation because treatment should not occur until you agree on an image.
If your artist does not offer you any information on how your scalp will look, consider it a red flag. Although the artist will offer recommendations, the final hairline decision is up to the client.
During the different sessions, you can ask to adjust or tweak the hairline to achieve your desired result.
Because it takes more than one treatment to complete the scalp micropigmentation procedure, it can take a while to see the completed look. Yet, after the first treatment, you'll notice a difference in your hairline.
In general, it takes around two and four treatments to get the full look. For some clients, the timing could be different. The results of a true look will depend on the extent of SMP and your desired result.
After the first treatment, you might notice some redness around the scalp for 24 hours. The visibility of the redness will depend on your skin tone.
It will take a few weeks before the pigmentation settles and heals completely after the SMP procedure is finished.
Of course, you won't have to ask this question if you don't have gray hair. Yet, we are aware that many clients with gray hair want to undergo scalp micropigmentation treatment.
Those with gray hair can still feed off the benefits of SMP. It is recommended for most clients to buzz their hair short. Since the roots of the hair are darker, gray hair won't appear to be gray once it is buzzed.
A gray-scale pigment can also be adjusted to blend in with lighter-colored hair. A lighter dilution is created to blend into existing gray hairs.
The cost of the SMP procedure usually depends on how much of your scalp needs to be treated. You can expect to pay anywhere from $2,800 and $4,400.
The three major factors contributing to the cost of SMP are:
Someone who has more experience and works in a top clinic will charge more for SMP. These artists tend to guarantee the best results as well.
Scalp micropigmentation is an effective solution to hair loss but requires the hand of a professional to achieve desired results. When you ask your SMP artist the right questions, you will have all of the information you need to make a decision.
During your consultation, create a list of questions that pertain to your situation. Use these common questions as an outline, but ask any other questions that you are curious about.
The more you know about the treatment, the better you will feel about going through with it.
At Precise Micro Scalps, we offer free simulations of what your SMP result would look like when you schedule a consultation. Take the first step to finding answers about your hair loss and contact us today.
It’s entirely natural to experience hair loss. However, some people lose hair at a faster rate than others, and it could impact their self-esteem.
Although there are multiple different hair loss solutions, scalp micropigmentation is one of the most effective.
Wondering if you can use this procedure for blonde or red hair? Let’s explore what you should know before researching “scalp micropigmentation near me.”
Those with blonde hair will be pleased to know that the scalp micropigmentation hair solution is entirely possible.
To achieve this, SMP artists use a few drops of distilled water in order to get the correct hue. It’s imperative to go to an experienced professional, as it takes a precise amount of water to get the right results.
Your skin tone is also another factor that your artist will consider. Otherwise, the ink may not be as visible as it should be.
Additionally, any ink that is too dark could have an unnatural appearance compared to the rest of your hair and features.
The answer is the same as above. Your artist will modify the color of the pigment until it matches the natural appearance of your hair.
When working with red hair, the SMP artist will use a different amount of distilled water in order to achieve this result.
More often than not, red hair that is been shaved down tends to have a similar appearance to those who have dark brown or black hair. So, it's not as difficult as you might think for your SMP professional to accommodate you.
It’s imperative that you go to a reputable artist for your hair loss solutions. Due to the nature of SMP, poor results can have an extremely negative impact on how you view yourself.
This is simply due to the fact that the pigment deposited into the scalp is long-lasting. In many cases, it’s much easier to prevent mistakes than to correct them.
When searching for a quality SMP artist, take a look at their past reviews. This will provide valuable insight into the type of experience you can expect from them.
In general, it’s best to go with someone who has had an extensive number of clients in the past. While newer artists aren’t always guaranteed to fall short of expectations, it’s in your best interest to work with someone who has a proven track record.
It's also important to note that SMP can add density on thinning hair. So, it isn't only a form of treatment for those who are completely bald.
The above info is all you need to know about whether or not the solution is right for you. While researching “scalp micropigmentation near me,” you be able to make the best decision.

]]>Hair loss is real - but nobody has to know about it when they look at your hairline.
There are a number of reasons hair loss may affect you. Factors like your diet can play a role.
Luckily there are hair solutions for balding, hair loss, and even scar camouflage.
A hair transplant is a medical procedure where a surgeon moves hair to an already bald part of the head. Many times this hair will come from other parts of the patient's head.
If you're wondering, "can I get a hair transplant?" we're here to guide you through the pros and cons.
Hair transplants aren't for everyone.
A good hair transplant candidate is someone who has experienced pattern baldness, noticeably thinning hair, or a loss of hair from scalp injuries or burns.
This procedure may not be for you if you don't have enough hair elsewhere on your head to transplant, are prone to thick scars after surgery, or suffer hair loss due to medications.
You should know the side effects to decide if the benefits of a hair transplant outweigh the possible unpleasant things.
Bleeding, infection, itching, and a swollen scalp may happen. Your scalp may also form crusts where the hair was both removed and transplanted. There may also be a numbing sensation in the areas of your scalp that were treated.
In some instances, there can also be bruising around the face.
Most side effects will clear up in a couple of weeks.
If you're on the fence and wondering, "is a hair transplant for me?" there are other options you can turn to.
Wigs can be an easier and more fun alternative. Plus they give you the freedom to choose any style you want. Scalp Micro Pigmentation is another innovative answer to hair loss and comes at a lower cost than a transplant.
There are also tonics, shampoos, and medication you can try before opting for a hair transplant.
There is no way to guarantee how your body and scalp will handle the transplant once the procedure is complete.
Everyone is different, so levels of success can differ depending on your genetics and how your hair grows and falls out elsewhere on your body.
A hair transplant is a medical procedure in which your newly placed hair is permanently attached to your scalp.
Make sure to check out hair transplant results before you make your decision.
You will also need to consider if you are willing to take on the responsibilities after your procedure.
Your doctor will have specific instructions for you, but in general, you will be taking care of an open wound. Prepare to avoid smoking, hair products, and blood thinners.
Depending on where you go, a hair transplant can turn out to be a pricey procedure.
Shop around, research the hair transplant procedures near you. Ask friends for personal recommendations, read reviews, and compare pricing.
Whether you suffer from balding, hair loss, or are just looking for scar camouflage, there are hair solutions for you.
You may decide to go for a hair transplant after all. If not, Scalp Micro Pigmentation is just as good a solution. Schedule a consultation today to explore this other hair loss option!
]]>Considering a new career in haircare but not sure where to start?
There are more jobs in the hair industry than you may think — you don’t have to necessarily be a hairdresser or barber to work in the hair and beauty industry. There are hair industry careers that you may not have considered such as studying to be a trichologist or learning scalp micro pigmentation.
Whether you’re just starting out in the industry, or if you’re just looking for a change, there is an opportunity available for you.
In this article, we’ll cover the exciting available career options in haircare and what they entail. Keep reading to learn how you can take the next steps towards your new haircare career.
One of the most popular and well-known professions in the hair industry is being a hairdresser or barber. There can be much more to this than cutting and styling hair.
You can specialize in a particular area that interests you, such as being a color specialist or studying curly hair. You may also want to cater to a specific group of people like children or people with disabilities.
Becoming a hairdresser requires knowledge of working with different hair types, as well as different cuts and styles. It also takes soft skills like communication and customer service.
Hairstylists start by attending a hair or beauty school and completing a cosmetology program. Some hairdressing tasks can be done without formal training, like shampooing, so it’s possible to find a salon job while you study.
If you love film and art, becoming a TV, theatre, or film hairstylist in the entertainment industry could be a good fit for you. This involves creating hairstyle designs for the characters and styling hair on set. It often means working with a makeup artist and the fashion department to create a cohesive overall look.
These stylists also need to be knowledgeable about things like wigs and bald caps and consider the scenes the actor will be in when styling their hair. Sometimes the characters have to endure a lot, and there may be action scenes and stunts to consider.
Anyone with a cosmetology license and a background in haircare can explore this career path. TV and film stylists often get their first professional experience on low-budget movies or student films, or by starting as a production assistant to get on-set experience.
Do you love hair but want to avoid working in a salon? Being a hair artist means helping clients get ready for special events and occasions such as weddings, photoshoots, professional headshots, and even red carpet events.
This work can be done in a variety of locations, including clients’ homes, on a photo shoot set, or backstage at an event. Being a hair artist involves travel, so it may not be for you if you like to work in one location, or if you don’t have a car.
Being a hair artist requires knowledge of formal hairstyles and trends, and the ability to match a hairstyle with an outfit. You can either apply for jobs in this field or start your own business based on who you know.
Handy with a camera? Being a hair photographer allows people to channel their passion for hair and beauty into a creative career
In this career path, you can work for salons, haircare brands, and fashion designers, and work may be on set or outdoors on location. This means that being able to fix hair based on the weather and changing client needs is a must.
This is another career that involves considering the overall look that the client is going for, so knowledge of fashion is required. Having a photography portfolio helps people to break into this industry — it’s important to remember that both photography skills and a background in hair will be looked at by prospective clients.
Owning a salon can be rewarding if you’ve always dreamed of owning your own business. This is a career in the beauty industry that doesn’t require any formal knowledge or qualifications — just a passion for hair and some business knowledge that can be learned.
You can hire experienced hairstylists and colorists, which means you don’t necessarily need to have experience yourself to open a salon. You could even study cosmetology while running a salon if you would like to eventually learn to cut and style hair yourself.
If you’re already experienced with hair but nervous about the business side of running a salon, you could start with a business-minded friend or family member. Hair salons are always in demand and can be a steady, profitable business.
Similarly, if you’re interested in the business side of hair industry jobs, you could act as a business consultant. This means helping salons, artists, and brands with their marketing and business growth.
No formal knowledge is needed for this career path, just an interest in business and marketing.
A hair transplant is a surgery that involves moving existing hair to areas with thin or no hair. This is a common procedure, and it is done in a medical office under anesthesia.
The experience required for this role is more medical than hair-related. Hair transplant surgeons should have training in plastic surgery, dermatology, or both, and on-the-job hair restoration training is required too. The intricacy of hair transplant procedures means that medical school is needed to prepare for the role.
This can be an extremely fulfilling and rewarding field, as hair loss often affects the self-esteem and confidence of clients, and you would be able to support them with that.
If you already have a medical background and you want to try something new, becoming a hair transplant surgeon may be something to explore.
A trichologist is someone who specializes in problems relating to the hair and scalp, such as hair loss, dandruff, and breakage. They examine the hair and scalp, diagnose issues and recommend treatments.
Trichologists focus on consultancy and can see clients either in their own homes, in clients’ homes, or in an office consulting room.
Becoming a trichologist requires less training than other careers like being a hair transplant surgeon. Training can be completed in a year or less, and then you will be able to search for job openings and join industry groups.
Are you interested in hair industry jobs but don’t want to work on hair yourself? If so, consider hair modeling.
This involves working closely with salons and brands, and allowing them to cut, style, and color your hair for the purpose of branding and marketing. There may also be editorial magazine work involved or work for TV and film depending on your experience and level of interest.
The only requirement is healthy, attractive hair, and the willingness to try different styles that you may not have picked for yourself.
Scalp micro pigmentation, known as SMP, is a popular technique that means depositing pigment into the skin on the scalp. It aims to replicate hair follicles and present a realistic appearance of a full head of healthy hair. This is possible with clients of any hair color and takes multiple treatments for the best results.
You can learn the fundamentals of scalp micro pigmentation in less than a week, and the income potential in this career path is high due to high demand. Training involves both theoretical and hands-on learning.
If you’re looking for a new career or to make a change, there are jobs in the hair and beauty industry that you may not have thought of. Each of them allows you to choose a niche that suits your unique interests and skills.
At Precise, we specialize in the art of Scalp Micropigmentation. If you are ready to take the leap and begin your own SMP business we are her to teach you how. Contact us here, we would be happy to meet you!
]]>Age can bring about many positive things. For example, you'll have a much different perspective than you had when you were younger, giving you better judgment.
However, not all of the effects of aging are pleasant. Most men experience hair loss as they get older, and this occurrence may begin to negatively affect their self-esteem.
Fortunately, there is a handful of hair loss solutions that you can take advantage of. Listed below are some of the most notable.
For those who are unaware, balding occurs due to an individual’s sensitivity to the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT binds with the follicles of the hair and eventually begins to deactivate them as time goes on.
This means that your follicles slowly begin to go dormant as you age, leading to hair loss.
There is medication available that prevents your body from interacting with DHT in this way, allowing you to stop hair loss in its tracks. However, it doesn’t come without risks.
Even some of the most well-known medications are liable to cause depression, sexual dysfunction, and even lowered testosterone. As you might guess, it often isn’t worth the risk simply to hold onto hair.
Under the right circumstances, a hair transplant can be highly effective. This involves extracting follicles from the sides and back of your head and placing them on your scalp.
Unlike scalp follicles, the follicles along the back and sides are much less sensitive to DHT. This is the reason why men who are fully bald on the top of their heads often still have hair in this region.
However, getting great results typically involves going to an outstanding surgeon. This means dealing with long wait times and even higher costs.
Additionally, since this is a surgical procedure, there is a large handful of complications that could occur. One of the most prominent is the risk of infection, something that could adversely affect your health and also diminish the results that you are able to obtain.
This procedure involves using tattoo ink to create thousands of tiny black dots across the scalp of the client. After completion, this creates the illusion of having a full head of hair that has been shaved down to stubble.
Although scalp micropigmentation isn’t able to provide you with actual hair follicles, many people find that it is much more favorable than being completely bald. The primary issue that most people have with having no hair at all is that they no longer have a hairline to frame their face.
Depending on the shape of your head and your facial features, this could easily cause someone to lose a large amount of confidence in their appearance.
Fortunately, SMP is a highly effective, non-invasive way to treat this condition.
The above information will help ensure that you’re able to make the decision that is best for you. From here, the hair loss solutions you implement will help you drastically improve your confidence.

]]>Just like in men, women too lose hair. If you are a woman experiencing extensive hair loss, the reasons might include genetics, hormones, age, or other factors, such as smoking, excessive drinking, poor diet, particular medication, and such practices.
Whether you have short or long hair, female scalp micropigmentation is the best option to pursue if you want to replicate the look of thicker hair.
Benefits of Micropigmentation
This hair restoration treatment is suited to a wide variety of conditions. Scalp micropigmentation is not only a quick procedure but is also non-invasive. Once the process is completed and aftercare routines are followed, the maintenance-free look will remain in place for around three to five years before requiring top-ups.

If you want to provide an additional, valuable service for your clients, scalp micro-pigmentation certification could be the way to go. A popular technique to give the appearance of thick, healthy hair on patches of the scalp that have thinning hair or are completely bald, scalp micro-pigmentation (SMP) can be offered by beauty therapists, tattooists, barbers, or any entrepreneurial professional in the beauty industry.
Find out more about what scalp micro-pigmentation is, the benefits of high-grade SMP training, and the advantages that offering SMP in your salon, spa, or facility can bring to you and your customers.
SMP (scalp micro-pigmentation) is a form of semi-permanent tattooing (similar to micro-blading for eyebrows). SMP can be used on the scalp to create the illusion of thick, healthy hair. Over the course of two or three years, SMP gradually fades in a natural, discreet manner.
Unlike a conventional tattoo, the pigmentation used doesn't change color over time. SMP is also a relatively comfortable procedure in comparison to the tattooing process, making it suitable for sensitive areas such as the scalp.
It's vital that SMP is delivered in a safe, and effective manner, creating the great results that your customers deserve. To get the best return on the investment you make in training, it's important to train with highly experienced professionals who are committed to ensuring you acquire all the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to provide a high-grade service.
Gabriel at Precise Microscalps has been practicing SMP successfully for many years. The four-day course that Precise MicroScalps offers includes everything you need to practice SMP. Whether you're currently working in the beauty or body mod industries and looking for an additional service to offer, or are considering a fresh career and feel SMP might be a good option, the Precise MicroScalps SMP education will be right for you.
With so many advantages, it's little surprise that a growing number of beauty therapists, tattooists, and business start-ups are opting to gain SMP certification. Get in touch with Gabriel to find out more about SMP training and starting your own SMP facility.
]]>Have you been experimenting with developing scalp micropigmentation skills but are still not satisfied with the results? It's an art and requires proper training and the correct tools.
In this article, we talk about the best techniques to use in your scalp micropigmentation sessions that provide a natural and long-lasting look for clients. Read on to learn about common mistakes and how to avoid them.
One of the most common problems beginning SMP technicians work to avoid is giving their clients a treatment that results in the look of a fully painted scalp.
Developing proper technique comes over time with practice and instruction, but using the proper equipment cannot be stressed enough.
Never use tattoo ink! What makes SMP so appealing for clients is that it is not permanent and can be blended over sessions to provide a natural look.
Always invest in quality natural pigment ink formulated for scalp micropigmentation. It is buildable and can be customized to match existing hair.
Quality pigment ink like 5pm shadow also flows well. It makes developing your technique easier because it is transformed through needles without skips or overflow.
The machine you use should deliver precision that is lightweight and easy to handle. This is very important because a session can run between 1 and 4 hours.
A wireless machine will give you freedom of movement for proper ink placement at various angles. Choose a brand that best fits your hand and works well with quality needles.
Choose needles that hold ink well so that you are not taking time to redip constantly and risking the placement of unwanted areas of ink.
Your needles should be designated for dots of ink that are much smaller than traditional tattoo needles. If you're using tattoo needles, you risk giving clients a painted look rather than a realistic and blended hairline.
If you are looking to set up shop or add scalp micropigmentation as an addition to your hair services, purchase a portable SMP chair. Your clients will thank you for the comfort and you will appreciate the mobility during sessions.
Educate your client on scalp micropigmentation recovery. The scalp will need time to calm and inks need to set. Therefore, regular washing should be avoided for a few days.
After an SMP session, it is not unusual for clients to experience some scalp micropigmentation peeling or flaking. This is the scalp healing from the tiny abrasions made during SMP. Picking at or peeling scabs may result in loss of pigmentation.
There are many products available to assist your client with scalp micropigmentation maintenance. It's recommended to advise clients to avoid alcohol based cleansing products.
Educate yourself on how to remove or reduce over pigmentation should the dreaded painted look happen. Always be open to corrections and encourage clients to give feedback a few days after treatment.
Scalp micropigmentation treatment is a skill to be proud of and offers confidence for clients looking for stylish solutions to hair loss.
Treat your clients right by enrolling in specialized SMP courses. Feel free to make contact to get advice on how to take your skills to the next level.
]]>A recent study showed that 50 million men in the U.S today suffer from balding. Unfortunately, hair loss can cause low self-esteem issues which can lead to depression and other ailments.
Luckily scalp micropigmentation can give you a fuller-looking scalp in no time! But how realistic is this procedure? Keep reading to find out!
Oftentimes, people think that micropigmentation and microblading are similar. However, with microblading the goal is to create hairlike structures by doing thick strokes. And with micropigmentation the goal is to create a layer of tiny dots.
There are also three steps to this procedure. The first one is the preparatory phase. During this phase, an expert will determine how many sessions you need depending on your hair loss. This can be done in person or over a video call!
The second phase is the treatment. During this phase, a special tool will is carefully placed to start the first layer of pigment underneath your scalp. This step of the procedure is very subtle and is usually done to create a base.
The question still stands: how realistic is scalp micropigmentation? Well, for starters, the second overlay phase is done to create more depth and darkness to your scalp.
And depending on the hair loss, a few extra layers might be recommended. However, sometimes the initial layer of pigment is enough for some.
Overall, most patients are able to see a notable difference that still looks natural and realistic. But be aware that the more layers that are made, the less realistic it will appear.
When looking at scalp micropigmentation before and after pictures you can see that it's very realistic and subtle. One of the greatest methods is that it's a non-surgical procedure. So there isn't any downtime which means you can continue with your work.
Many individuals can benefit from scalp micropigmentation. Here are some examples:
This treatment is also very permanent. Most individuals are able to keep their pigmentation for 5 to 8 years. These times can vary depending on how often you shower and do physical activities.
There are some scalp micropigmentation disadvantages. For example, some patients will experience some redness during the first few days. However, this usually subsides after a few days.
Some patients will experience swollen lymph nodes in the back of their heads. The swelling could be caused by unsterile equipment or ink. However, sometimes this can happen because the body is trying to reject the ink.
Nevertheless, this usually goes away after a few days with no further complications. Itchy scalp is a very common side effect after scalp micropigmentation.
However, this is completely normal and is part of the healing process. It's recommended that you don't scratch your head as this could cause an infection.
The cost of scalp micropigmentation varies on the severity of your hair loss and how many layers you desire. Not to mention, some facilities offer scar cover-ups which can add to your final price.
Nevertheless, the cost of scalp micropigmentation is usually around $2,500 to $5,000.
Overall, scalp micropigmentation can give you a subtle or noticeable change. When done correctly and in moderation, these procedures can appear very realistic!
So don't waste any more time on expensive products that don't actually work and schedule a consultation today!

Life habits that can affect your hair
1.Over-treating your hair
2.Using unnecessary hair products
3.Wearing your hair too high
4.Wearing tight ponytails
5.Experiencing Un-controlled Stress
Treatment:
1. Scalp Massage
Perhaps the cheapest method of getting thicker hair is a scalp massage. It doesn't cost anything, and there are no side effects. When you wash your hair, gently apply pressure with your fingertips around your scalp to encourage blood flow. For even more benefits, you can try a handheld scalp massager to remove dead skin cells.
You may have already heard of micro-blading for full brows. Did you know there's a similar practice for your scalp?
This procedure is known as scalp micro-pigmentation (SMP), which creates the illusion of fuller hair.
But what's the exact difference? While micro-blading is done with a manual blade, micro-pigmentation is performed using an electric tattoo device. This is because more power is required to penetrate the skin on your scalp that is thicker than the skin under the eyebrows.
How does a Scalp Pigmentation procedure Work?
The goal of SMP (Short for scalp pigmentation) is not to create hair-like lines like in micro-blading eyebrows, but it is used to create dots on your scalp in different hues of black, to create a shadow on your scalp. SMP is more than just a hair tattoo. A well-known practitioner will always look forward to creating natural hair follicle on your scalp so that it looks natural and is according to your complexion.
This process is helpful for people going through the following conditions:
Basics of Scalp Pigmentation:
The best way to understand Scalp Micro-pigmentation is to see it as a form of scalp tattoo. During this non-surgical procedure, a natural pigment is applied to the epidermal layer of the scalp, effectively replicating the appearance of natural hair follicles. Practitioners aim to camouflage the surface area of the scalp where hair loss has already occurred and, in turn, creates a new hairline for the client.
If you're familiar with the process of microblading of eyebrows, it is a very similar process. While microblading is done with a manual blade, scalp micro-pigmentation must be completed with an electric tattoo device. More power is required to penetrate the skin on the scalp, which is a lot thicker than the skin underneath your eyebrows.
Benefits of SMP:
Hair thinning and hair loss are not only concerned with men, but women also face these problems as they age. There are many solutions to hair loss; one of the most effective is the procedure of SMP. SMP is more than a hair tattoo. If you are familiar with the eyebrow micro-blading you are halfway there to know what kind of procedure it is. There are many benefits of this procedure. At Precise Micro Scalps we deliver the highest quality SMP treatments for our clients. You can schedule a FREE consultation with us or get a scalp evaluation. We are here to make you feel confident about yourself.
Balding has been a genetic condition that many men have struggled with throughout all of history. Unfortunately, many treatments for it are either unsafe or only temporary.
However, scalp micropigmentation allows people to take advantage of a safe, long-lasting solution to hair loss. But, is it a good career choice?
Let’s explore everything you should know.
As the name suggests, this procedure involves using small amounts of ink across the entire scalp in order to create the illusion of stubble.
A major issue that people have with hair loss is that a receding hairline is no longer able to frame your face. This could easily result in a loss of self-confidence, something that can also have an adverse impact on your overall mental health.
Although scalp micropigmentation won’t give you back a full head of luscious locks, it can create an appearance identical to that of a shaved head. Since stubble is able to frame your face similar to how a hairline can, it can provide amazing results despite not actually giving you hair.
Since this procedure is both safe and long-lasting, there is plenty of demand for it.
Unfortunately, you can’t simply open up your own micropigmentation business. You’ll need to go through the proper training before you’re able to do so.
This involves working as an apprentice or receiving education from a certified instructor. Not only will this allow you to legally practice as a micropigmentation professional, but it will also provide you with key information about how to perform this role as effectively as possible.

]]>You might already be changing your client's lives with haircuts, tattoos, and the other beauty services you provide. But what if you could go one step even further and build up their confidence about their hair loss?
Hairlines are at the front and center of everyone's look - and not even the best haircuts or treatments in the world can salvage them if it's clear it is receding.
According to Healthline, men will typically have a receding hairline by the time they reach their late thirties, while women will typically experience a widening, thinning hair part.
Scalp micropigmentation, or SMP, is the perfect solution for hair loss.
Read on to find out exactly what scalp micropigmentation is and what tools and equipment you'll need to provide those services.
Everyone has heard of Rogaine and hair plugs. The problem with Rogaine is that, even if the medicine does work, your hair will continue to fall out a few months after you stop using it. Hair plugs can look unsightly and obvious and even have painful side effects.
Much like with permanent eyeliner or microblading eyebrows, scalp micropigmentation is scalp tattooing. It deposits pigmentation onto the outermost layer of the scalp to imitate hair follicles. It's like permanent makeup for your head.
The pigment used can be adjusted to a client's skin tone and natural hair color. The pigment won't change color but will begin to fade in about two or three years, just like with regular tattoos.
Usually, this procedure can be applied in two to five treatments.
As with any service, you'll need to right tools to give your clients the best SMP treatment possible to ensure they're feeling their best.
Your clients will need a place to sit, so a portable SMP chair will be necessary to give them a sense of comfort. It will also ensure you can take your business anywhere!
Similar to a tattoo gun, you will also need a Precise SMP Machine so you can perform safe and efficient pigment implantation. Precise guns come in various colors, include a charger, are lightweight and quiet, and are even wireless.
Lastly, you will also want to invest in some Precise Gold SMP Needle Cartridges. Precise brand offers some of the most durable needles in the business. They are disposable, single-use, pre-sterilized, and made of surgical stainless steel.
Now that you know what SMP is and the tools you need to get started, it's time to put your new knowledge to use.
Precise not only carries the tools you need to start your new business venture, but it also offers courses to help you learn the ins and outs of scalp micropigmentation.

WHY IS SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION A BETTER CHOICE?
Scalp Micropigmentation is accomplished through a meticulous process in which tiny deposits of pigment are injected directly into the scalp. It may appear to be similar to a traditional tattoo but it is not. To begin, Scalp Micropigmentation requires the use of a smaller needle, also known as a microneedle in order to deposit absolute precise impressions . Scalp Micropigmentation also requires a different ink from traditional tattoos. The typical pigment that is used is carbon-based and all organic in order for the deposit to never change color. They also penetrate the skin only two layers deep, whereas traditional tattoo needles penetrate the skin 7-9 layers deep. This is done to achieve very natural results that mimic real hair.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The cost of Scalp Micropigmentation varies depending on how much hair loss each person has experienced, and how much area needs to be covered with SMP. Also the experience and skill level the artist is a major factor. The average price is $3500.
The cost of your procedure is ultimately determined by the size of area needing SMP and time of each session. Every scalp is unique. The average customer with thinning hair on top and possibly a receding hairline should plan on spending around $ 2700. (USD). Many clients fall into this category. Even those with intact hairlines usually need the same amount of time in each session to re-establish lost density. Use $2700 as a general guideline, with some leeway depending on your specific needs. If your hair loss is less advanced: if you have total density but need a slight reconstruction of your hairline, or if you need to fill in an area on your crown, the price is likely to be reduced.
Scalp Micropigmentation is the most effective, efficient, and affordable solution for balding men and women on the planet. At Precise Microscalps we do everything we can to make our procedure available and affordable to everyone.
On the other hand, if you have scars to conceal, alopecia to conceal, hair to sift through, or a large area to fill in, the price will rise. When it comes to your head, shopping for the best deal is not a good idea, take the time to research and find the right artist for you. You can’t put a price on great results. ]]>Everyone knows how embarrassing it is to lose your hair at a young age, and nowadays, every gender is witnessing this scenario. There are different reasons for hair fall. For some people, it is due to genetics and results in extreme hair thinning while for others, it is because of hormone imbalances or not consuming enough nutrients.
There are different ways to handle hair loss. Few of us choose medications that only slow down the process but don’t fix the problem completely. Some go for PRP treatment to stop hair loss that doesn't give you a permanent solution either. The rest choose to go bald and opt for wigs, hairpieces, and hair replacement which gives an unnatural look. Hair tattoos are a new trend in the hair industry and is considered the best choice to deal with the hair loss.
A hair tattoo for the head (also known as SMP - SCALP MICRO PIGMENTATION) is different from a typical tattoo. A hair tattoo should be done by a certified SMP artist and not by an ordinary tattoo artist. However, people quite often make the mistake of assuming a hair tattoo is where designs are cut or shaved into the hair to create a different hairstyle though that isn’t the case.
A hair tattoo can cover all of your scalp if you are bald and give the appearance of light hair on your head. If you have some bald patches and a receding hairline that you want to be covered, it can be done with SMP as well.
A microneedle is used for the precise implementation of pigment on the scalp and to create a complete hair tattoo, so that your scalp looks fuller and covered. Precise Micro Scalps has their own SMP machines that we use to deposit precise pigment.
It is a safe procedure that anyone who has thin hair and is experiencing hair loss, having a receding hairline, or is getting bald, can get it done. It is less painful than any hair loss treatment available in the market, and often customers describe it as virtually painless.

Why does the scalp go red after a session?
The whole procedure is spread into 2 to 3 sessions. The SMP specialist will form impressions of the follicles to give your scalp a fuller hair and the tiny pigmented spots will appear to be natural. Though it is non-invasive it does penetrate the scalp in the epidermal layer and needles are involved in the process and as a result, your skin loses blood. The scalp resembles an open wound after the procedure and thus it needs proper care to heal as soon as possible. Because of the involvement of WBCs, the wound while getting healed becomes red but it does not stay like that for long because the wounds are not deep into the skin. A person's immune system also plays a role in how quickly he recovers from the SMP redness.
When does the scalp redness go after SMP?
It does not make the skin so inflamed and red and after each session, it usually takes 1-2 days or 3 at max to properly heal up and the redness fades away. Clients do not have to wait for long to go to their workplace or universities again, even some people return to their routines a day after. A hat, cap, or scarf can always work though.
But proper healing without a bit of irritation may take up to a week. Because the skin's wound dries up and then sheds away and the new skin comes to take place in almost 7 days. After the scalp is healed properly, one can see how the SMP results are showing. It is quite normal if the shade is uneven in some places, that is why it takes up 2 –3 sessions to cover the whole head properly and evenly. The scalp then appears to be dense with hair and the pigments get their full richness in shade.
Aftercare tips for SMP:
To fasten the process of healing there are some simple tips you should follow right away and some tips in later days for at least a week or two. The first category includes doing some things like;
However, using shea butter, organic oil or baby oil can help.
Things to do for 10 days at least for SMP aftercare:
Staying away from dampness:
After SMP, one should try to stay away from long baths or showers. Keeping the scalp dry will make the dead skin shed off quickly. It may itch, it’s natural but doesn’t run your nails through the scalp. Don’t use wet towels for at least 3-4 days after SMP. But you can wear headgear to work, soft silk scarves and hats can help as they won't add to the itchiness.
Moisturizing the scalp:
After the scalp starts shedding the dead skin, using a moisturizer such as baby oil or organic moisturizer with no infused chemicals can help decrease the itchiness and will heal the scalp more quickly.
Try avoiding sweaty workouts:
Going to the gym for a hard workout, steam baths, going out directly in the sun can cause perspiration or sweating in the scalp. This will increase the itchiness and you will want to get a shower which can add to the wound and slow the healing of your scalp. Stay away from your gym for at least 5 days and if you sweat due to natural atmospheric changes such as humidity or high temperature, use a dry cloth or a paper towel to clean up the sweat. Once you see visible healing, you can continue with your gym routine.
Medicines and alcohol:
Clients can consume alcohol or take their medicines but it is better to wait for a day only. Try avoiding serums on your scalps that are infused with alcohol or chemicals, especially parabens. However, just a 10-day gap can heal your properly and you are good to do anything you want with your hair.
Aftercare is important because if you dont take care of the treatment, it will lose its impact and results will be a lot less visible.
Learn and make your clients aware:
At Precise Micro scalps, we give you lessons on how to treat the scalp after the procedure for desired results and quick healing. We also tell our students which products to recommend to their clients. Once you are certified, your chances of earning increase by 100%, and you can earn $20,000 to $25,000 a month with just a few sessions.
